With 30 centers maintained by this collaboration, approximately 3,000 young participants benefit from these programs.
Ajudôu, a Non-Governmental Organization sponsored by Vale, provides free sports classes in judo, karate, volleyball, futsal, and handball for children and teenagers in socially vulnerable areas. By promoting social inclusion and community engagement, Ajudôu has positively impacted over 800 young individuals.
The Praia Para Todos (Beach for Everyone) project, held in Rio de Janeiro and Mangaratiba, focuses on inclusive leisure and sports activities for people with disabilities and reduced mobility. By offering adapted sports like beach tennis and sitting volleyball, this project aims to create a more inclusive environment.
The Zico 10 Hub, an initiative using football as an educational and social tool, operates in multiple cities, fostering champions both on and off the field. With a unique teaching methodology developed by Zico, this project focuses on developing socio-emotional skills in children and teenagers.
Overall, Vale-sponsored projects have generated over 1,100 job opportunities and engaged more than 94,000 participants in sports activities throughout 2024. Notably, 90% of participants come from the public education system, with 71% being black and brown individuals and 41% female.
