Lieutenant Colonel Simon O’Regan recently showcased his endurance at the HYROX World Championships in Chicago, representing Australia among 110 participants from various countries. In the men’s 50-54 age group, Pro Division, he conquered the challenging event, combining running and functional fitness stations, in a commendable time of 79 minutes and 44 seconds, securing the 25th position.
As an Army physical training instructor with a rich background in fitness and running, Lieutenant Colonel O’Regan embraced the unique demands of HYROX that tested his strength, endurance, and resilience. The event, consisting of eight one-kilometre running segments interspersed with various fitness challenges, pushed him beyond his limits.
