SPE facilitates both data transmission and power supply over a single twisted pair of copper wires, presenting a more compact and resource-efficient infrastructure compared to conventional ethernet systems. ASERCOM’s partnership with the Single Pair Ethernet System Alliance (SPESA), comprising 90 key technology firms, aims to establish interoperable standards for the refrigeration and air conditioning sector.
The conventional fieldbus systems are facing limitations with the growing integration of intelligent components and the need for seamless IP-based communication.
